James has the enormous privilege to be here in Burpham, with his wife, Jenny and their two daughters. He has lived a very rich life largely through a first career as a teacher (maths and sport), Head teacher of two Surrey schools before being called to Ordained ministry in 2018. From his sending church in Shottermill, he served two delightful villages of Alfold and Loxwood (straddling the Surrey / Sussex borders) before being called here in 2024. He is a proud Midlander, hailing from Wolverhampton and growing up just south of Birmingham, before moving ever south through working life. Meeting his wife in North London, where children came along, before moving out to Surrey and Hampshire early in 2012. Alongside his passion for Jesus and families, you will soon learn about James' love of bright-coloured trainers, and love of Lego.
